Susan Boyle Becomes a Household Name in a Week
Connie and Paul Pots both sit among the YouTube top viewed of all time and Susan Boyle is catching up quickly. She has taken the world by surprise before the competition has even started walking a similiar road Paul Potts took years ago. (updates at the bottom)
Her daily view count on the most active YouTube video reached almost 7 million on April 17th. Connie currently has 43 million views and Paul Potts has about 45. Susan Boyle’s video was uploaded on April 11th, 2009 and in 8 days has jumped to over 30 million views (April 19th).
This one YouTube video only makes up some of sensation. The Viral Video Chart is reporting Susan Boyle’s success at 64 miilion views. Take into account there are 63 duplicate videos.
In the wake of Susan Boyles explosion Paul Pott’s video (nessun dorma) is back on the charts as well. This video truly shot through the Internet at lightening speed and is rasing the tide for another classic. It’s no longer a question of “have you seen?” but “you haven’t heard?” of the Susan Boyle. She has appeared on numerous shows including Larry King and still a week after the virus took hold there are 6 videos about her on the front page of YouTube’s daily popular chart all of which are over 100k.
This is a truly amazing story of talent.
